Accessibility
Last updated August 18, 2026
Looking for a home should work for everyone. This page says where we are with that, honestly, and how to reach a person if something on this site gets in your way.
What we're aiming for
We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the standard most people mean when they talk about an accessible website.
We haven't had a formal audit, so we're not going to tell you we meet it. We'd rather say where we actually are.
What works today
- You can search homes, save favorites and compare properties without creating an account.
- Buttons, controls and images that carry meaning are labeled for screen readers.
- Every image on the site has a text description, so a screen reader can say what it is instead of skipping it.
- If you navigate with the Tab key, the item you're on is marked with a clear outline, so you can always tell where you are.
- The site works at any window size and on a phone, and text resizes with your browser settings.
- If you've asked your device to reduce motion, we respect that and cut the animation.
- There's a dark theme, and the site follows whichever one your device is set to.
What we're still working on
Known gaps, so you're not the one who has to discover them:
- We haven't had an independent accessibility audit. Everything above is what we've checked ourselves, which is not the same thing.
- There's no "skip to content" link yet, so navigating by keyboard means tabbing through the menu on every page before reaching the page itself.
- The map is a visual tool and is hard to use without sight. Every home on it is also in the list view, which does work with a screen reader, and we'd rather point you there than pretend the map is equivalent.
- Property listings, including their photos and descriptions, come from the MLS and are written by other brokerages. We don't control that text and can't always fix it.
If something doesn't work
Please tell us. Email admin@goldpalmhomes.com and say what page you were on and what happened. A real person reads it, and we'll get back to you.
If you'd rather not wait, call or email Andrew Ferraro directly and we'll help you find what you're looking for the old-fashioned way. Nobody should have to fight a website to see a house.
